I just started using this Sleep Cycle app. It cost 59p, I put it by the side of my bed at night, and using the acceloremeter it monitors movement, and therefore sleep patterns overnight.
And it uses that data to wake you up at the right time in the morning. And then with one button press you can share via Facebook.
I did it this morning. Here’s my graph. I like it. It does many cool things I approve off. It has that ‘whoah, it works moment’, it is playful to use but has a purpose, and it connects easily with other things. Success.
You can easily see telecare applications like this for the elderly and isolated – except they’d be designed by IBM, would cost squillions of pound and be less good.
