Woolly Beating Heart

Send anonymous tweets to your valentine #fr0mTheH34rt

Case Study

This Valentine’s project literally walked through the door on a Monday, courtesy of Sandoz at Work Club. It got rapid prototyped by us Tuesday day. A woolen heart was knitted Tuesday night. Rumpus Room joined in and built the website on Wednesday. The motors were finished close to midnight Wednesday, just as a watch was found as a pacemaker.

It was switched on Thursday with a webcast from Ustream. Then taken down by Twitter Thursday afternoon for spam. Then put up again by us. Then taken down again. Then put up again using a developer’s private Twitter account on Thursday. And finally, it tweeted and beated through Valentine’s weekend. Whilst listening to Classic FM. How can electronics this cute be wrong?

If you listen carefully, you can hear its heartbeat quicken when a message is sent.

[The heart has now been put away. Be nice and we might bring it back next valentine's day]
